The legs on the Stilt planter are made from durable stained cedar hardwood and provide both contrast to the metal and a nice, organic finishing touch. The Stilt Planter is available in two metal options. Choose from either a quality marine grade 5052 aluminum with a powder coated finish, or a heavy gauge Corten steel in a natural rust patina finish.

Aluminum
The aluminum used to construct this planter is made from a durable marine grade 5052 alloy. This particular aluminum is ideal for planters because it is lightweight, exceptionally strong, and does not rust. Marine grade aluminum is a low-maintenance option made to hold up to all types of outdoor environments even corrosive coastal areas. Currently available in 3 standard powder coated colors, custom colors are available at an additional cost.
Corten Steel
The Corten, or also called "weathering steel" option for this planter is an ultra durable metal that is ideal for all outdoor environments because of its protective weathering qualities. The corten option for this planter will arrive raw and un-rusted it will start to rust and develop a deep bronze patina right away maturing into its final color in about 4-8 weeks.
* Be aware CORTEN steel does rust and is not recommended in areas where staining would be a concern.
